Cristiano Veloso – President, CEO & Director

Mr. Veloso founded Amazon Mining. Previous professional experience includes CEMIG and Banco do Brasil S/A. Mr Veloso is a qualified solicitor and a member of the Brazilian Bar Association. He holds a Business Management Diploma, LL.B, LL.M (International Commercial and Business Law).

Manoel Carlos Cerqueira - CFO & Managing Director (Brazil)

Most recently President & Director of Kinross Brazil. Has also held senior positions with Eldorado Gold Corporation, Western Mining Corp, and BP Minerals Ltd. Mr Cerqueira has 26 years of executive level experience of which 20 is within the mining industry.

Dr. João Batista G. Teixeira – Chief Geoscientist

Has 39 years experience in Mineral Exploration including 20 years with CVRD. Dr Teixeira managed several projects and economic evaluations for gold and base metal deposits in Brazil. He led an exploration program responsible for developing the Metallogenic Map of Bahia State, one of Brazil’s richest mineral provinces. Received his PhD in Geosciences from Pennsylvania State University.

Jed Richardson - Vice President Corporate Development

Prior to joining Amazon, Jed was a mining analyst with Cormark Securities, part of an 8 year career in mining research with Cormark/Sprott Securities (5 years) and RBC Capital Markets (3 years), covering precious and base metal equities of small and large capitalization. Jed holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Simon Lawrence - Director

Currently the CEO of TSX listed Gold Eagle Mines Ltd. Previously held positions at Anglo American, Impala platinum, Gabriel Resources, European Goldfields, HSBC James Capel and ABN AMRO. Mr. Lawrence has a B.Eng (Mining Engineering) and an MBA.

Getulio Lamartine de Paula Fonseca - Director

Senior economist with over 40 years of government and consulting experience in the Brazilian natural resource and energy sectors. He served as Deputy Minister of the Environment (Brazil) in 1994 and held prominent positions at various Brazilian government institutions. Mr. Fonseca also served on the advisory board of several companies, including Vallourec & Mannesmann Brazil, Siderurgia Brasileira S.A., Usiminas Mecânica S.A., Companhia de Pesquisa de Recursos Minerais (CPRM) and Cia Ferro Ligas da Bahia (Ferbasa).

Kevin van Niekerk - Director

Currently serves as VP Corporate Development with TSX listed Equinox Minerals Ltd. Kevin has over 20 years experience in the mining, media and marketing industries.

Richard Topham - Director

Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of operational experience with both publicly traded and privately held companies. Previously, Mr Topham was the Director of Finance for PCS Wireless Inc., a TSX-V listed company, and also employed at PriceWaterhouse in Vancouver, Canada.
