Both Verde Potash and the ThermoPotash product are gaining interest among both private stakeholders and governmental organizations. The Company is actively including several academic and agricultural groups in the development process. Agronomic trials are providing Verde with a better understanding the effectiveness of ThermoPotash, and concurrently begin the work of building a strong local market for the proposed new product.

The Secretary of Finance from Minas Gerais State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Verde to provide the Company with support in terms of potential financing for working capital and fixed investment, with funds administered by the development bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG). The State, through INDI, shall provide support and assistance to Verde during the implementation and operation phases of the project, particularly with regard to assisting with financing requirements and the expedition of permits and licenses and includes special tax treatment.

Verde entered into an agreement with Sekita Agronegocios, a leading Brazilian-based agribusiness company, to fund agronomic tests using ThermoPotash product. Sekita is one of the largest Brazilian vegetable producers, with more than 3,000 hectares of farmland directly adjacent to the Cerrado Verde project. Sekita plans to test ThermoPotash in real world conditions for use with garlic, carrots, corn, soybeans, wheat, and grazing grass for dairy cattle.

Agreement with Dr. Gaspar Korndörfer, Professor of Agriculture at the Universidade Fedederal de Uberlandia, secures initial agronomic studies used for the planning of Amazon’s metallurgical test work and laboratory scale tests on the application of ThermoPotash.

Verde entered into an agreement with Agrifirma Brazil, a UK based farmland operator and developer, to fund agronomic tests using ThermoPotash. Agrimafirma is a modern farmland operating and development company with 69,112 hectares of land in western Bahia. Agrifirma plans to test ThermoPotash in real world conditions for use with soybeans, maize and corn.

Verde entered into an agreement with ArcelorMittal Bioenergia Ltda (a subsidiary of Arcelor Mittal Group Company NYSE:MT) to fund agronomic tests using ThermoPotash product. ArcelorMittal Bioenergia produces charcoal for steel production from renewable eucalyptus forests, a substitute for mined metallurgical coal. ArcelorMittal has 170,000 hectare Eucalyptus plantation in the Minas Gerais and Bahia states of Brazil.

Verde was included in a Brazilian government-sponsored agrominerals project for biofuel production ("ROCKAPL"), a collaborative effort between government and private enterprise focused on developing fertilizer alternatives for sugarcane destined for ethanol production. EMBRAPA, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, developed the project along with the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology.
